Running tips
Summer is the time to let go: barbecue, drinks, vacations… In short, we are enjoying the nice weather! At Campus, we are convinced of the benefits of this “break” to get back in the starting blocks in September.
Back to School: A Key Period
For many people, back to school is the time to (re)set new habits, or a new routine to get off to a good start.
In this article, we provide you with the keys to help you maintain your good habits in the long term. So, equip yourself with a pen and a notebook, it's time to take notes.

🔑 Key 1: Set achievable goals
With the excitement of starting again, you may tend to start again as if you had never taken a break by setting your goals too ambitiously.
If you have stopped or reduced your physical activity, it will be very important to perform a gentle restart so as not to strain your body. Find all the advice from your Coach Tristan here.
“Don’t hesitate to set intermediate goals. These goals will allow you to see progress quickly and thus keep the motivation throughout your training”.
Nicolas, Campus coach
We often talk about it, but the small steps method is very effective, if you want to maintain your good back-to-school habits as long as possible.
🔑 Key 2: Take the time to observe all your progress
Sometimes caught up in your activity, you do not take the time to observe your progress. Trust us, it's very useful for staying on track and maintaining the desire to push yourself. With Campus, you will be able to track your progress on your running logs.
You will be able in particular to visualize your weekly training volume and compare your estimated training duration with the one you have accomplished.

🔑 Key 3: Organize yourself to avoid frustration
Organization is truly what will allow you to be consistent. As you surely know, consistent training is the magic ingredient that will help you progress in the long term 🪄
“Schedule your training in your calendar: it will allow you to handle any unexpected events and especially it will prevent you from making excuses.”
Tristan, Campus coach
Rest assured, it happens to everyone to miss certain workouts, we are not robots. The most important thing is that this "failure", does not unsettle you for what comes next.
🔑 Key 4: Surround yourself with the right people
Support plays an important role in the success or not of one of your goals. If you have good support, trust us, it will push you during difficult times (which are part of your preparation).
If you like to share and have trouble motivating yourself alone, we have several running groups open throughout France!

Happy back-to-school to you and above all, don't pressure yourself, follow our advice: have fun! 🔥
