Running without a GPS watch, it's possible
Until now, to track your workouts and sync your data with Campus Coach, you needed a GPS watch or a third-party app like Strava. It's no longer the case.
With the built-in activity tracker, your smartphone is enough. The app uses your phone's GPS and accelerometer to record your runs in real time. Whether it's a jog, an interval workout, a long run, or a trail workout, the tracker accompanies you from start to finish.
It's a feature designed above all for beginner runners or those who don't want to invest in a connected watch. No need for extra equipment anymore to enjoy a complete and personalized training plan.
Real-time guidance during your workout
The tracker doesn't just record your run: it guides you. During your workout, Campus Coach analyzes your pace live and warns you if you are running too fast or too slowly thanks to voice or vibration alerts. You stay focused on your stride without having to check your screen constantly.
Tracking automatically adapts to the type of workout scheduled in your training plan. For structured-pace workouts (interval training, MAS, road running…), the tracker displays your intervals, your recovery times, and alerts you at each pace change. For free-pace workouts like trail running or beginner workouts, it displays the target effort and your stats along the way.
What the tracker records
During and after your workout, you have access to all the essential data to track your progress:
Distance covered in real time, measured by your phone's GPS
Instant and average pace to know whether you are in your target zone
Total time and time per interval to analyze each phase of your training
Automatic interval breakdown for interval training workouts
Specific metrics depending on the type of workout (terrain, pace variation...)
A complete summary at the end of each run
Once your workout is over, the tracker shows you a clear summary: total time, distance covered, average pace, all compared with the goals set by your plan. You can then validate your workout as usual, and Campus Coach automatically adjusts your next trainings based on your results.
It's the same process as when you sync a GPS watch, but without the watch.
Integrated into your plan, not freestyle
The activity tracker is only accessible during a workout scheduled in your training plan. It's not a free GPS tracker: it's designed to work within your training, with precise goals defined by the Campus Coach method.
This choice ensures consistent, contextualized tracking. Every tracked workout feeds the analysis of your progress and allows the algorithm to refine your plan.
Why is it a real plus?
The Campus Coach activity tracker makes structured training accessible to all runners, even without equipment. It lets you follow a real running plan with real-time guidance, post-workout analysis, and automatic adjustment of your program, all from your smartphone.
Whether you're just starting out with running or looking for a simple solution for your everyday workouts, the tracker is there for you.
